Question Tag

Questin tag adalah pertanyaan singkat yang menegaskan pernyataan sebelumnya.
kalimat : she is beautiful
Pertanyaan : is she beautiful ?
question tag : she is beautiful, isn't she ?

jika kalimat positif, kita biasanya menggunakan tag negatif,
contoh:
she is beautiful, isn't she ?


jika kalimat negatif, kita biasanya menggunakan tag positif,
contoh:
she is not beautiful, is she ?

terdapat 4 type question tag :

1. Use "to be"

example :

• he is not crazy, is he ?
• Your mom was angry, wasn't she ?
• They were teachers, weren't they ?
• you are watching tv, aren't you ?
• I am not stupid, am I ?
• I never be late, am I ?

Note : untuk kalimat yang menggunakan to be "am" dan positif, maka tagnya menggunakan to be "are"
ex : I am clever, aren't I ?

2.Use "Modal/auxaliary"
Must, have to, had to, has to, can, could, shall, will, would, may, might.

example :

• I must do my work tonight, musn't I ?
• You can't eat spicy foods, can You ?
• She should clean  her house , shouldn't she ?
• Vero couldn't go to my party, could she ?
• I will be a rich girl, won't I ?

Kalimat perintah :
example :

• Open the door, won't you ?
• Let's study in my home, shall we ?

3. Use "Does, Do or Did"

example :

• He drank medicine twice a day, didn't he ?
• Dave doesn't go to Bali, does he ?
• Kevin didn't visite her Grandmother's house, do he ?
• They study in your house, don't they ?
• Mother  cooks friedrice, doesn't she ?

4. Use "Perfect Tense"

example :

• You have taken my money, haven't you ?
• Shilla hasn't bought a new bag, has she ?
• They haven't played football, have they ?
• She has maked a cake, hasn't she ?
• He hasn't met a Doctor, has he ?
